Robyn Florence is a contemporary artist based in Balnarring, on the Mornington Peninsula,Victoria. She enjoys painting using bright, bold colours to bring energy and excitement to her work.
Robyn began painting over a decade ago, developing her practice under the guidance of respected artist and tutor Cheryl Petersen. She has also expanded her skills through workshops with Stefan Gevers (watercolour) and Lisa Wang (oil painting), enriching her understanding of different mediums and techniques while maintaining a strong personal voice in acrylics.
Working primarily in acrylics, Robyn creates abstract nature-inspired works that capture the essence of her surroundings — from rolling farmland and native bushland to wild coastal views and flourishing gardens. Her love of colour and expressive mark-making allows her to translate these elements into bold, emotive compositions that invite a deeper connection to place and nature.
Robyn is a member of the Peninsula Studio Trail and opens her studio twice a year for people to have a close up look at how she paints. Robyn sells her work mainly through art shows, on-line platforms and during her Open Studio Weekends. |
